Fees and Payment

Fees are payable as set out in the Order Form and invoices. Payment obligations are non- cancellable except as stated in the Master Agreement. Payment methods and instructions are provided on invoices.

No Refunds

All fees are non-refundable, except as required by law.

Governing Agreement

This Payment Policy is part of the Agreement. If there's any conflict, the Agreement controls.

Changes

JOMO may update this Policy at any time. Updates are effective when posted.

Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy summarizes how Authorized Schools and Authorized Users may use JOMO Education's curriculum and materials.

This Policy is a plain-language guide for school staff. It does not replace the Master Agreement. If there's any conflict, the Agreement controls.

Who This Applies To

  • Authorized Schools listed in the Order Form

  • Authorized Users (teachers, administrators, staff, contractors, and volunteers) at Authorized Schools

Permitted Use

Authorized Users may:

  • use the Purchased Product for internal educational purposes at an Authorized School 

  • use it during the Term, including for planning and professional development 

  • download and reproduce materials as reasonably necessary for classroom use 

  • store downloaded materials only within the Authorized School's controlled systems

Prohibited Use

Authorized Users must not:

  • share materials with another school, organization, or anyone who isn't an Authorized User 

  • use materials after the Agreement expires, is terminated, or access is suspended

  • take materials to another school if they leave

  • upload materials to public websites or platforms accessible outside the Authorized School 

  • remove copyright or proprietary notices

When Authorized Users Leave

Schools must ensure that when an Authorized User leaves:

  • their access is promptly removed

  • any downloaded materials are deleted or returned

Questions about acceptable use should go to the school's implementation lead or administrator.

Scope

JOMO will use reasonable efforts to respond to questions about accessing or using the Purchased Product.

Support does not include:

  • guaranteed response or resolution times

  • real-time or emergency support

  • technical support for customer-owned systems or networks

  • custom consulting or training outside the Purchased Product scope

JOMO does not guarantee response times or resolution times. Responses are provided based on the nature of the inquiry and available resources.

JOMO Education (“JOMO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting privacy and handling personal information responsibly. This Privacy Statement explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in connection with our programs, websites, marketing activities, and services (the “Services”).

This Privacy Statement applies to information collected from schools, school staff, families, adult prospects, and website visitors.

Information We Collect

Information Provided by Schools and Staff

We may collect information provided by schools or their representatives, including:

  • name, title, and role,

  • school or organization name and address,

  • email address and other contact information,

  • billing and administrative information, and

  • implementation and program-related communications.

Student Information

Our Services may include surveys or questionnaires administered by school staff.

  • Survey responses are intended to be collected and reported in aggregated and/or anonymized form.

  • To support survey administration and prevent duplicate responses, we may temporarily process limited identifiers (such as an email address), which are handled in accordance with this Privacy Statement and deleted or de-identified as appropriate.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information about students, such as medical or health records.

Family and Community Information

We may collect limited contact information (such as an email address) from families where they choose to engage with optional family-facing resources or events.

Adult Prospect and Marketing Information

We may collect personal information from adult prospects (such as school leaders, educators, administrators, and other professionals) who:

  • visit our website,

  • submit a contact form,

  • download resources,

  • register for events or webinars, or

  • communicate with us about our Services.

This information may include:

  • name, title, organization,

  • email address and other contact details,

  • marketing preferences, and

  • communications with JOMO.

Website and Usage Information

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address,

  • browser type and device information,

  • pages viewed and interactions,

  • referring URLs, and

  • cookies or similar technologies.

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, operate, and improve our Services,

  • communicate with schools, staff, families, and adult prospects,

  • administer programs, surveys, events, and webinars,

  • process payments and manage accounts,

  • send marketing and informational communications to adult prospects (where permitted by law),

  • analyze website usage, marketing performance, and engagement,

  • comply with legal obligations, and

  • protect the security and integrity of our Services.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for research, reporting, benchmarking, marketing analytics, and product improvement.

Marketing Communications

JOMO may send marketing or informational communications to adult prospects only where JOMO has obtained express or implied consent, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by:

  • using the unsubscribe link in the email, or

  • contacting us using the details in Section 11.

Opting out of marketing communications does not affect transactional or administrative communications related to an existing relationship with JOMO.

Cookies and Online Advertising

We may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • operate and secure our website,

  • understand how visitors use our site,

  • measure and improve marketing campaigns, and

  • deliver advertising to adult prospects.

We may work with third-party analytics and advertising partners (such as Google, Meta, or LinkedIn) that use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your interactions with our website and ads.

JOMO does not engage in targeted advertising based on the online activity of children.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate consent mechanisms.

How We Share Information

When providing services to schools under contract, we act as a service provider processing information on behalf of the school. Schools are responsible for providing notices and obtaining consents as required by applicable education privacy laws.

We may share personal information:

  • with service providers and subprocessors that help us operate our Services and marketing activities (such as CRM systems, email platforms, analytics providers, learning platforms, survey tools, video conferencing providers, and payment processors),

  • with schools and authorized representatives, as appropriate,

  • if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or

  • to protect the rights, property, or safety of JOMO or others.

We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention

For information processed on behalf of schools, we retain data in accordance with our service agreements and delete data when contracts end, subject to legal requirements and backup processes.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Statement,

  • provide and market the Services,

  • meet legal or regulatory requirements, or

  • resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

Information may be retained in backup or archival systems for a limited period.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Data Transfers

Personal information may be processed or stored outside your jurisdiction, including in Canada, the United States, or other locations where JOMO or its service providers operate. Data protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from those in your location.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are provided to schools and are intended for educational purposes. We rely on schools to provide appropriate notices and obtain any required consents from parents or guardians.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children outside the school context or for independent commercial marketing purposes.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • access personal information we hold about you,

  • request correction or deletion of personal information,

  • withdraw consent to marketing communications, or

  • object to certain processing activities.
